I have Ubuntu 8.10 running on a Gateway M625. ALSA doesn't seem to be set up right because I get no audio out of the speakers, but I do when I plug headphones into the microphone jack! On earlier versions of Ubuntu I was able to tweak alsamixer to get output (I don't even remember how anymore), but
