Hi All
I have found that it is best to have a good .asoundrc (or /etc/asound.conf) that defines all inputs and then jack can happily see everything.

analog input, but I obtain the same result: I record only silence, even though
it seems that there is an input signal.

OK, I've been wrangling with this for a while now, reading the howtos,
etc, and still no luck. I'm trying to get alsa working on an embedded
arm platform, a variant of the Atmel Arm AT91SAM9263-EK evaluation kit.
I'm using kernel version 2.6.22.1 with support for alsa 1.0.14
