The Sony vaio vgn-nr21z hd audio card doesn't work out of the box. It says:
hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC262, trying auto-probe from BIOS...
I've found that setting model=sony-assamd works, jack sensing and the mic.
Could you please add this model?

Lee,
Ah, so I don't. Surprising, at least to a newbie. It all compiled and
installed OK. Thanks.
BUT - now it's not finding any sound cards at all! Even after a reboot. And
I've not changed the hardware config at all. This is getting silly.
Best regards,
Peter

Following on from Nigel Henry's advice to update my Alsa to 1.0.16 I
downloaded the tarballs, installed the alsa-lib OK (as far as I as a Linux
newbie can see). But then trying to lake the library I ran ./configure OK,
but the make command failed:

Hi, and thank you for the support of audio 8 dj soundcard.
I'd like to know if this driver support all of the 8 inputs/outputs
channels,
and if someone test it with xwax (xwax.co.uk).
Because I'm looking forward to buy this device and I like to play safe.
Thank you very much.
