Thanks for the heads up. I couldn't find the patch you mentioned, but
I'm familiar with one that patched some portion of the configure
process in 1.0.14. If that's the patch you were referring to, I don't
think it's related to my current problem. At any rate, I've found

This looks a bit similar to the problem I had. But I'm running 1.0.14. I had
to first update to 1.0.14a and then I had to apply a patch. My problems in
between were different. But it seems to be the same general trouble.
Try looking up something like:

I'm trying to use the alsa jack plug to route audio though a jack
server. I followed the instructions here:

jack server just fine:
