Yes, I have added that line to /etc/asound.conf and it overrides the
main one. The problem is, if I set it to 48000 then I can pla

Hi everyone,
I'm having quite a bit of trouble trying to get dmix working with a
LADSPA EQ plugin. I think I've narrowed it down to "plug" incorrectly
detecting sample rates.
For example, my sound card (Intel HDA) can play audio at 48000, 96000
and 192000 Hz. When dmix is set to mix at 48000, I

Hi all,
I am trying to get a Tascam US-122 working on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy without much
success.
After reading various howtos and postings I did the following.
Installed alsa-tools, alsa-utils, and fxload using the Synaptic Package Manager.
I downloaded alsa-firmware-1.0.15.tar.bz2 from ftp.alsa-pr

Given this is nfs-root, the only realistic way is to hack the sources
and find out what the path is. I am happy to do that, especially if

Apologies for the cross-posting, but I haven't had a clear answer (or
any answer) to this in nearly a week of asking, and I see at least one
other person cross compiling a driver they've written seems to having
the same issue, so I want to try to get some answers.
I have written a driver - snd-aic
Hi list,
Im trying to send data from one application to the alsa loopback device.
What is the default device of loopback?.. .I mean, I can select only
one of these (in a particular application):
"Default"
"loopback"
"Hda Intel"
As my Hda-Intel is card 0, "default" device is pointed to "hw:0,0".

There are at least two ways of installing flash: one is to do it on a
per-user basis in which case you'll find the plugin in
~/.mozilla/.../plugins (sorry, I forget
