I think I need to compile my own alsa package. I'm using ubuntu fiesty fawn
with my motherboard HAD Intel ALC883 audio chipset. I'm having a quick and
loud audio chirp when switching from Dolby Prologic to Dolby Digital. I

the alsa driver snd-via82xx-modem and the utility slmodem; however, when
I receiving an incoming call, the modem never reacts.
