Try switching from X to a text console (ctrl-alt-F1) and aplaymidi the
file from there. Do you get an Oops report?

Hello guys!
I´m trying to update the AdvanceCD project (kernel 2.4.26) to the latest
Alsa driver, but I´m getting some problems.
I tried the alsa-driver version 1.0.12 and version 1.0.13, but I got some
gcc problems with the emu10k1 driver. I was successfull only with version
1.0.11.

Bill,
Note that your exponential horn, which has a mouth diameter of about 15ft
and the speaker was almost certainly less than 2ft, which implies and
exponentiation of 2, Since the length is 17', the cutoff frequency is 1/2pi

I did see you had alsa-driver 1.0.14-57 in atrpms, but was worried to
mix it with core updates, I *am* running 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 are you
saying there is a problem with alsa 1.0.13-1

Gene,
thanks for this useful and intriguing info. You have piqued my interests in
pipes! And thanks everyone else too.
Sans experiencing the pipe organ you describe in detail, do you (or anyone
else for that matter) have any reference CD material (or SACD) which would

Hi!
For everyone interested in a solution to the problem below: Thanks to
Benjamin Eikel, there is a great Howto in the ALSA wiki now.
http://alsa.opensrc.org/Low-pass_filter_for_subwoofer_channel_(HOWTO)
It only works with ALSA version 1.0.14rc2 (or probably above).

BTW for an up-to-date FC6 which by now runs on kernel 2.6.19 you will
need alsa 1.0.14rc2.

Hello,
I'm having trouble with a softphone and this card made by VIA. I can

Softphones connect to my own Asterisk box, and I'm only havi

Yesterday I'd been using my pc all day, shut it down and late last night
booted up and all of a sudden my soundcard (m-audio delta 66) no longer
works. Eventually narrowed it down to the fact the

This is in Debian Sarge, using kernel-source-2.6.8
Dear all,
I plan to buy a TASCAM US-122 L

Is it supported by Alsa ?
Did anyone test it?
