i can't get any AC3 passthru out of my onboard ck804 card (Gigabyte K8N
Ultra9 mainboard). From my sblive 5.1 it works great.
I've found and tried several hints (mixer settings, asound.state files)
for this card, without luck. Only PCM streams would be played fine thru

i've tried your AC3-live encoder alsa plugin with mplayer. But the
sound "stumbles" alot. My dolby-digital AV-Receiver interrupts playing
every few seconds and mplayer reports the "too low cpu-speed" problem.
But the latter can't be true (DualCore 2,2GHZ AMD64 and CPU is at 5%).
