I am the not so proud owner of an HP Pavilion dv5320us lappy, with this
audio chipset in it.
This is an amd64 turion cpu, but its a fully uptodate i386 version of
FC5 thats installed on it, which includes the alsa-1.0.11-rc3? drivers.

I realized what I provided previously as info about the received packets for
the Akai MPD16 was misleading, as it was, unbeknownst to me, contaminated
by a lot of stuff coming in from my Yamaha Motif (apparently a chatty little
beastie.) Heres some better dmesg output with the Yamaha turned off:

Hi, for the Trust Sound Expert Digital Surround card, it says '[RCAio]
[TOSio]' in the notes, but not [ANio] (which I assume stands for analog
input/ouput). Does this mean that the card isn't supported for use with
standard analog stereo speakers or a standard microphone?
