Surprise - I was not able to reproduce the problem with oss. Whereas with
alsa I was able to lock my PC again. What I do - just load respective
drivers and either "jackd -v -d alsa" or "jackd -v -d oss". And then

player to working with AC3. The USB soundcard is a cheap cmedia and i

Does the ice1724 driver support analog output at all, or does the [RCAo]
in the 'notes' column in the ALSA soundcard matrix really mean that
*only* S/PDIF is supported? My M-Audio Revolution 5.1 is connected to a
