Hi, I have a SB Audigy 2 ZS card. Playing midis with aplaymidi (Emu10k1 Wavetable) hard freezes the system. The problem seems to occur randomly: sometimes the freezing occurs after an hour, sometimes the freezing occurs after 5 mins. It doesn't seem to be specific to certain midi files. Pointers,

Hi, I have an Asus A7N8X-XE mobo and two sound cards: one SB Live and the onboard card that works with the intel8x0 driver from alsa and recognizes it as Nvidia CK8. The sound card works and I can hear the sound but the master volume control has no effect. Can this be fixed somehow?
