Hello Takashi!
I am running the BusyBox 1.00 and there is an ash in there. So I tried to
exchange the #!/bin/bash to #!/bin/ash in the beginning of the alsaconf
script, the effect is:

/mnt/PoC/sound/alsa-utils-1.0.9/alsaconf # ./alsaconf

Right, it's not supported snd-atiixp. But you can load snd-mpu401 as
an additional card. If the mpu port is decalred as a PnP device, it's
autoloaded via ACPI PnP. Note that the midi device created will be
the secondary. You'll need to access it via hw:1 (/dev/snd/mid

Because:
1) the thread is about stable ABI, among other things;
2) because people complain HERE that older version of ALSA with older
kernel version used to work and after the upgrade ALSA stops work
Hi to all,
within my research goals I'm aiming to have lowest latencies ever. Looking
at typical PC-hardware it's obvious that blocksizes < 128 (sometimes < 64)
are impossible to reach due to the PCI bus with its DMA-transfers.
So - what I thought of was building a "stand alone soundcard" able to

Hi Luis,
thanks for the response ! I followed your link and noticed that you
experience the same in/out-delay (~ 15ms) with USB-soundcards. I'm a little
surprised because Emagic claims to reach delay in the area of 6ms under
Windows (ASIO) but I'm wonde

Hello peter, thanks for your reply. I have tried that but since I am running
on an arm platform I do not have the full on bash and it is unfortunately
not possible to run the script.
Any more ideas?

Hello,
I am trying to get a usb audio compatible sound card to work on the kwikbyte

I have the alsa usb audio device drivers compiled into the kernel
