I can't get my realtek alc650 soundcard to work
alsa is 0.9.2
kernel is 2.4.21
i've installed the send-intel8x0 module successfully.
I have used alsamixer to unmute all the channels. alsamixer recognize correctly the
chip ( Realtek ALC650 rev 2)
when i use xmms (or another program) to play so

I can play music using XMMS, and I can arecord/aplay using various formats, on
SuSE 8.2 (which has alsa-0.9.0-cvs20030217). I'm trying to use Audacity
(tried both 1.1.1 and 1.1.3) and it can play back an opened file, but it

i'm pulling my hair for hours now to try to mka my sound card plays sounds .
It is the soundcard on the Asus A7V8X-X mainbord .
It is told to be a an AD1980 but i see that the alsa prject home page only
sypport AD 1886 .
I took the snd-via82Cxx driver but it freezzes my computer ,
and
