I recently was tossed a new motherboard at work, an Epox EP-8RDA+.

I managed to get this card running in one system but the second system is
giving me fits. I am running RH 7.3 and followed the instructions to
compile and install the 0.9.0rc6 drivers. The card is seen by the system.
I can read and write to /dev/mixer. The permissions on the devices look
ok. I

I have RC6 running on Redhat 7.3. If you will give me some specifics, I
will try to help. I am new to alsa and am having some troubles on a second
7.3 install but will do my best.

I have compiled the drivers from alsa for my sb live 5.1. I use the
module snd-emu10k1, but i can't have the center/lfe channel working. It
makes only noise and only in the maximum volume. What can i do to repair
this?
I see that when i installed ala-libs package, it creates some files im
/usr/
No sound... The drivers are compiled, and inserted.
I start the alsa driver as follows
[root@slaptop root]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound restart
Shutting down sound driver: done
Starting sound driver: snd-cs4232 done
when the drivers start, I can hear a tic-tic-tic in the speaker

I've had a LOT of trouble with RC6 of alsa 0.9, and
was wondering if anyone had actually had success with
alsa 0.9 on RH 7.3?
If people have had success, is anyone planning on
writing a howto?
