[Alsa-user] STRANGE ALSA ERROR

When running a stream through 'ogg123' the following error is displayed. ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:598:(snd_pcm_hw_open) SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_PVERSION failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device I am not sure if this has something to do with the alsa driver/library or the OGG vorbis tools. I am running Alsa-0.9.

Hello! Does anyone know if there is an auto-detection module in alsa-0.9.0beta12 like snd-detect.o in alsa-0.5. Does anyone have a good working configuation for an ews64xl or something compatble? I would really apreciate that one, because I can't get it working anyway. Kindest regards
