Try the other sliders, it could be Line1, Aux, CD, etc.. What I've
noticed in the past is that ALSA never correctly names inputs and
such.. It gets Master, PCM, Midi right.. thats about it. Also some
controls are very vague. Lots of switches, mono output.. etc. Who
knows what these are for?

Hi,
I bought Soltec SL-75DRV4 motherboard with 8233a southbridge.
I tried to configure sound through via 8233 driver, but no
success. The only thing I can do is to play CD through it :-).
OSS mixer works, but any other program crashes. I tried
alsaplayer as well, but it reported some kernel error.
I get no sound using the intel8x0 driver. I compiled the drivers and all from
the alsa cvs 3-4 days ago. Compilation seemed to go ok. Modules inserted
without error -- nothing in my log files. Alsamixer says it's unmuting and
changing the volumes. Amixer confirms it did. Aplay says it's pla
Hi.
Before anything, I'm sorry if this question was answered already, but I
couldn't be able to search on Geocrawler archives (it seems to have
problem with the database for posts after May 2001).
I have RedHat Linux 7.2, Kernel 2.4.7, a Creative SB Live! and lastest

Hi,
AlsaPlayer 0.99.55 is up for download. This release mainly features bug
fixes and minor jack support improvements. There are also some new prefs
settings. We now remember which path you used in the different file
dialogs. I also removed the Qt interface plugin for now as it was

Hi,
Is recording with Audigy already supported? Whatever I have tried I was
not able to record from any source (Mic or Line).
I am using beta12 and kernel 2.4.18. I have attached the output of
amixer contents for Mic recording setup.
I found a few refrences with recording problems with the emu

Hello, Jaroslav Kysela!
My card is SiS7018 on SiS 630 chipset.
I have tried all alsa versions of trident driver, but nothing works.
The same is with oss trident kernel drivers.
I've done a little debugging of the source codes, and here is the result -
AC97 codec is not working. The problem is w

Having used gusclassic & interwave drivers for a couple of years, some
oddities bug me quite a bit: snd-synth-gus has existed for ages, yet I
haven't heard of any method for loading patches and/or using rom ones.
Is there a way to actually use the synth in not-so-100%-silent way?

Hi I have recently installed (at least physically) an
Maudio delta 1010lt sound card in my computer.
I am running the latest 2.5.5 kernel and have tried
both the alsa built into the kernel source tree as
well as the latest 0.9.0beta12 alsa sources. I am
having the same problems either way. The sou
