Hello
Does anyone know when Bind 9.2.1 will be integrated in the testing branch?
There is a CERT advisory about a vulnerability in bind 9.2.0.
CERT Advisory CA-2002-15 Denial-of-Service Vulnerability in ISC BIND 9

BTW if you plan to use --dport you need rather a line like
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s 0/0 -m tcp --dport 22 -i $dev -j ACCEPT

Note that PPPoE is anyway encapsulated in ATM so you eventually get an
additional (and useless) overhead.
Some say you never feel it, others say you do.
Anyway, to avoid unnecessary encapsulation is always an advantage.
The hack of Alcatel SpeedTouch home to SpeedTouch Pro is worth it, seeing as

Well what you propose here is not exactly IPSec. It's an encrypted way to
communicate but not IPSec. Don't expect it to work with a Cisco router/VPN
concentrator or a Win2K machine.
FreeSwan is quite a good product, quite inter-operable with all paltforms I
tested it with. (It's been a while now

I rather think of a problem with a PS/2 and VGA switch-box failing or
rebooting. Do you run GPM on your machine? Maybe it can have prblems when the
PS/2 mouse is disconnected or when the switch reboots.
I've seen that before (rather with Win9X, I daresay)
