Gee, thanks for the rant. Mind you, I guess I didn't have to read it =) Regarding the window switcher issue, I don't see where the problem is. I use Gnome 14.04.04 (Gnome Shell 3.10.4) and WITHOUT any fancy extensions, I can plainly see the highlighted program when I use Alt+Tab. I've included a
