Here on KDE Neon, the icons are centered. I guess Arch and Neon configure it
differently somewhere, or one of us two has configured it somehow.

For me this crash behavior started after 2025-01-29, judging from my list of
downloaded files.
Saving files from signal-desktop (installed from snap) worked fine until then.

What Wen would like to add is probably almost the same as Kate does.
When the user starts editing a document, Kate creates a backup of the document
file, which contains all changes made by the user (with a delay of a few
seconds).
