The Mac Kicad Python 3 transition needed upstream work maybe a year ago.
I have revisiting it on my list.

Ahhh, wonderful.

It may take me another few days to get the wx-built-without-debug on
releases setup in kicad-macos-builder, but that won't be source
changes. I can get it ready and then use the rc code for it, and get
folks to test.

I can look into doing this for release builds on macOS If I do this, I
will need to make a pre-release build for folks to test since by definition
this wouldn't be tested on nightlies, right?
Are there other dependencies that we want to build differently for release
vs nightly?

Hi folks.
I was under the impression that although the macOS 10.15 betas had
weird issues with KiCad, that the release Catalina was fine. This may
not be the case. I am mobile today and only using my phone, so it's
difficult for me to dig into it right now. If folks are still

I'm very excited to provide macOS builds on merge requests for folks
to more easily test...

Please note I don't think this will be a problem for macOS packaging
at all, but we do it differently than other folks.

Yeah, isn't that bonkers? It doesn't work nearly as well on the last beta!

Hi folks!
The latest version of macOS went public today, and we have an issue
where you can't make a new project on it :)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1834717
I want to get a better debugging setup in Catalina so I can maybe see
a better stack trace, but it's going to take a few days. I
see the fixes tag in the patch. If

Per Holger on [Bug 1835296] Re: simulating laser_driver on macos
nightly causes segfault...
Please let me know if there are any issues.

It would be awesome to have them merged into upstream. They're all
very packaging specific.
