We are about to bite the bullet on Calix. Are you guys charging for the equipment, or adding a monthly service charge? Or is this part of your installs now? How do you recoup the monthly cost? On Fri, Oct 16, 2020 at 1:44 PM Ryan's Amplex wrote: > We are installing about 65 844e devices a month.

I am dithering on this myself. I was giving away 844Gs but since they have become unavailable I think I will standardize on the 803G/801G and offer the 844Es for rent. From: Sam Lambie Sent: Monday, October 19, 2020 9:01 AM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Calix use

Fiber is exclusively 844G for ONT/termination/demarc) for us. For us, we're wanting to hook up fiber customers as fast as possible and would rather get the MRC sooner rather than later. They all currently have cableco (Spectrum/Charter). We provide the router/meshes. Josh Luthman 24/7 Help Desk

Do you include the 844G with the price of the service? I was doing 844Gs until they became impossible to get. From: Josh Luthman Sent: Monday, October 19, 2020 9:48 AM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Calix users Fiber is exclusively 844G for ONT/termination/demarc) f

Yes. They need an ONT and putting an 844G down eliminates the shitty router problems, wiring problems, etc. Josh Luthman 24/7 Help Desk: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 On Mon, Oct 19, 2020 at 12:22 PM wrote: > Do you include the 844G with the price o

Not using it yet. I've yet to see any benefit. Called them out on a problem and I said let's see if it fixes it. Looks like it's a (their words) defective 844G. Support cloud might help at large scale but right now my issues are the 804 meshes staying paired to the 844G. Josh Luthman 24/7 Help

Equipment availability is definitely a huge problem right now. Maybe less so for operators that buy a years worth in advance which I think is how Calix prefers. Shipping 50 at a time is not their style. The 15-20k will be integrations with your billing system and API, plus the setup of the cloud a
