I don’t see it that way. The whole reason for 5 ghz backup is to go beyond 60G limitations. Operators want to push 1gig 60 ghz over 1km.. 5 ghz backup is the way to make it happen… but you need good rssi in 5 ghz for stable signal against interference… 24db gain min. for 5ghz PTP. Gino Vill

I just had two 60Ghz links up at 985 and 1094 Meters up for two weeks without dropping signal. Yes 5Ghz is nice for the backup but that was with the MT links and larger antennas. Take 4db off those links and not sure they would have stayed up. On 09/01/2019 09:15 AM, Gino A. Villarini wrot
