I tried to do nlos stl on 950. Didn’t work at all. It needed a very strong experience signal for full quieting. Sent from my iPhone > On Feb 13, 2019, at 5:51 AM, Lewis Bergman wrote: > > They are more likely to want a camera pointing at their transmitter rack. > Most of them don't have as mu

They are more likely to want a camera pointing at their transmitter rack. Most of them don't have as much monitoring as you would think. We had a few on our network. They used our ethernet as primary and a sat backup. Only the large market stations have engineers that know anything. The rest contac

Comrex Briclinc will do wonders at transporting the audio over an IP STL. Otherwise for analog audio only the 900mhz band as discussed is where you’ll be. Should be able to go through foliage. Mountain. Not so much. > On Feb 13, 2019, at 12:08 AM, Daniel White wrote: > > Sure. But consideri

Sure.  But considering it would be a new link more bandwidth opens new opportunities like maybe they want a video camera up there for security. If its NLOS though, yeah 950MHz is going to be a better bet. Daniel White Co-Founder - Business De

Yeah, I've seen that done. One guy had some boxes he got from Holland, I was stunned that they didn't have a jitter buffer.  It seemed to me since the transmission is one way that it would be harmless to have a 5 or even 10 second buffer and have plenty of time to retransmit any lost bits.  Se

The STL gear that I've seen is small-channel audio-only data, something like unidirectional 128kbit with a high-quality audio codec. If you need to find out equipement manufacturers I can look up pictures taken inside of sites where I saw STL devices in use. Based on it being higher-power 900mhz b

Adam, There isn't a lot of spectrum on those channels, so your only going to get 3Mbps or something like that. I'd probably put up something like an AF-11 instead if your on a budget. Jeff Holdenrid over at DoubleRadius has done a lot of work with both radio and TV STL links.  I did a few pr
