I got a Harmony 650 a few years ago. Worked great for a year or two, and
a couple of the buttons stopped working reliably. I reprogrammed the
option buttons under the screen to work around the issue, but then those
started to fail.
So a year or so ago, I bought a "renewed" Harmony 665 for $36.
I have several Harmony Companions and never had an issue. One is even on my
boat and falls
on the floor all the time when out on the water with no issues.
