For some reason "reply to author" is grayed and says I'm not allowed to do

Create operations should be used only for mutating a not yet existing entity.
However, so our team can have a closer look at your issue, could you provide
the complete request and response logs, with the request-id, and the batch IDs?
You may send the requested details using the Repl
Is that related to the fact that I'm calling .create operation while there
are some settings already in place? I'm doing this in order to mimic
`replace` logic that works in some parts of the api. I'll try to call
.update in mean time.
