Hi,
Currently the only way to work with category placements is using the
v13 version of the API. Category placements will not be returned
using the v200909 version of the API. I don't have a timeline for
when the next version of the API will be released.

Eric,
This was supported in v13 so whats the best practice on dealing with
this in v200909.
How is this going to show up when getting criteria from adgroups that
have category placements?
