Mark phone number as selected

Mark call extension phone as selected when added

Is it possible, to mark newly added phone number to Call extensions via FeedItemService as selected (e.g. as when selecting it from AdExtensions)? Or is there some workaround that may achieve same effect? I've looked through the documentation, but got nothing to work for me. Thanks in advance!
