How to change Data Feed type?

I am currently uploading feeds via the API to Business Data / Data Feeds. However, these have no types. Is there a way of updating the type to be "Ad Customiser Data"? I have tried using CustomiserAttribute etc but this gets uploaded to a different area. Not in to data feeds. Could anyone poi
