for me the only thing I needed to do to go from v11 to v12 was change
how I initialize the AdwordsUser:

In the lib/ directory after untar/zipping the files, you should see:
adwords-api-2.1.0-loner.jar
adwords-api-2.1.0.jar
Those are the libraries you want to use (one or the other). I believe
the loner has some things taken out (servlet library I believe?)

I am having a hard time finding the documentation on this.
I tried to download the new java API as well but all it contained was
the build script and the doc directory. Not sure if the file is valid
or winrar isn't opening it correctly.

download link appears to only contain the javadocs. Also, no-where
can I find the README that shows the simple process of migrating from
v11 to v12.

Well from what I know, when adding a new image ad to adwords, you do
not need to specify some fields that you seem to be filling.
As an example: width, imageUrl, height, mimeType.
