Does the service run as the system account? If so make sure that it has access to the drive at the root. If the service account running the TSM scheduler service does not have access to the root of the drive it will not be added to the domain list and you will not get any errors.

You are getting the errors because the TSM server is running at 5.1. You will need to upgrade it to 5.2 before the errors will go away. Alternatively you can exclude the systemstate and systemservies with a domain statement and back them up using NT backup. From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager
