Hi Roy
You should be able to install the code with almost no intervention. The
drives wont need reconfiguring, it would be as simple as upgrading from
3.7.0 to 3.7.1 for instance

1 Delete the drives from the library
2 Delete the Library
3 Recreate the library definition
4 Recreate the drives
5 Label Libv using overwrite=no
6 Checkin all Scratch volumes using search=yes

Hi
Does anyone know what the optimum block size would be for a TSM data
volume?
TSM is DB2 based database so maybe someone could say how they have their
DB2 databases configured

Hi Alan
I would say your problem is more than likely that you check your new tapes
in rather than running the label libv command. TSM would have thought that
these tapes have been previously labelled but could not read them.
You need to check them out then relabel them again

Hi Wanda
That is a link to the backup/archive gui interface for the clients. You
will need to go into the node and update it with the correct URL for it
work correctly.
This gives you a common management point to perform backup/restore
procedures

Good day everyone
I am looking into providing backup sets to my customer in a predominantly
NT Environment.
I tried this for the first time this morning and two questions arose?
1) Is it possible to do a single file restore?
2) Does the backup set also store the registry on the day it was crea
