does anyone know something similar for the i6k?
Mhh, if it's not configured during power on (i6k => Setup => Physical
Library => Automatic Inventory), i6k => Operations => Inventory should
do the trick? Whole library has to be offline.

Hi,
we're running TDP Exchange 7.1 against MS Exchange 2010.
The windows system log of the TDP datamover are literally flooded by error
messages like this one:
Cmdlet Get-Mailbox, Parameter {Identity=f2bf81eb-efeb-4fdb-b6a7-08c4e01a82c8}
After running some traces with level 2, we finally found
Hi Zoltan,

The symptoms seem to be this problem:

They have run through all of the processes in this docume

On AIX you can use the rendev cmd to rename a rmt devices.
well, that depends.
You can rename all devices managed by aTape (lsdev -Cc tape). If you're using
a SCSI library that relies on using the TSM drivers and mt devices (lsdev -Cc
admstape) instead, you cannot rename them.

Hi,
and please keep in mind, vm templates can only be backed up via
VMVSTORTRANSPORT nbd
That's why we had to build a dedicated datamover/scheduler combination to
backup all templates :(

Hi,
we can assume that the VM that should be included is just an ordinary VM.
Manual backup of it works fine. It is the inclexcl rules I am wondering
about. They obviously does not follow the same logic as the rules for file
backups.
okay, sounded like the template never gets backed up.
Anyhow
Hi David,
[...]
Has anyone had this work for them? Anything to watch out for?
yes, we did that already. We even did a ALTER TABLESPACE () DROP (container)
to move DB2 containers off a mountpoint.
The only thing to watch out for: Really try to find a quiet time. Only do one
container at a time
the command to migrate the
passwords stored in the registry into the new tsm.kdb files without knowing
the actual node-password:
"C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient\dsmcutil.exe" migratepw
It's that simpel :(

Hi Josh,

So, I log in as the instance user, run cmd.exe, go to my instance

A separate console window pops up, and immediately closes.
Redirecting doesn't put anything in the file.
If I look closely, I see some output in the fraction of a s
Hi David,

Hi,
we're experiencing slow performance while backing up a 1,5 TByte MS SQL 2008R2
database with the TDP SQL Agent 6.3. As for DR-scenarios, we're doing legacy
backups only. The actual speed is usually around 20 MByte/s, backups go to
LTO-5 tape directly. The backup stream has to pass through 3 d
Hi,
I have a question about the target device, can an LTO-5

the 1,5 TByte mainly splits into two files (~900 + ~600 GByte, don't ask
why) and I don't have enough space in the diskbackuppool for tha
Hi,
Can you pos tyour dsm.opt and tdpsql.cfg?
There is a lot of tuning that can boost your perfomance.
dsm.opt just contains the necessary node and server options, nothing else,
tdpsql.cfg mainly lists the default values:
LOCALDSMAgentnode *
BACKUPMethod Legacy
BackupDestination TSM
