Does anybody know how to automate the drmedia moves? For instance, I
have 10 volumes that are mountable and 8 are full and 2 are filling.
How do I move the 8 to vault and leave the other two? I figure I need a
script, but I don't know how to write it. I am running TSM 4.1.4 on
W2K. Can anyone
Is anybody backing up Exchange 2000 successfully with TSM (running on a
W2K platform) when Exchange 2000 is in a active/active cluster? And
have you had any errors scheduling it or more specifically have you seen
the error "The Computer is out of Memory" when backing the information
store up?
I am looking at buying the STORManager software. Does anyone use this
software and what should I be looking out for in it? I am wanting to
get a better grasp of my library and monitoring of daily tasks. Will it
do it?

Is it me or is a restore of Netware data slow? I get at best 5.6g per
hour off of a 21g per hour drive. TSM backs it up fast but takes way
to long to restore. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what
do you do?

switch to co-location to speed up restore times on large volumes. I can
add the drives to the libraries and issue move data commands for one,
but what else could be done to get the data copied to new tapes and
colocated at the same time?

I am trying (or being forced to)defend my decision to use Tivoli over
Arcserve. What are my reasons again? I have been pitching Tivoli and
rolling it out with goos success to a Netware and NT environment that

Is there a way to figure out or plan for how many tapes a node will use
over the course of it's retention time? Does it seem like Tivoli takes
upa lot of room even though theoretically it should take less, or is it
because you are keeping a full set of your network in the library at all
times
e any experience restoreing a large file with tsm? No
comments about restoreing a nt backup please.
