Hi, new to this, and wanted to gain some insight and short-cuts to getting
started with RMAN and TDPO. Anyone out there have some free time to share
hints?
Thanks

I have been handed a TSM system in the past week that has been running for
a year. IT has collocation = yes for TAPEPOOL and COPYPOOLS. this system
is running TSM 5.2.2.
We have run out of tapes as the setting for collocation (yes) is trying to
use a tape for each node (as I understand it, ,,pl
stg={diskpool}" to move the data of the tape quickly to disk.
If you set the access of the tapes you want to clean to readonly first,
the data will be migrated to the filling tapes you don't want to clean.

Are you referring to the "OEM" product TSMManager? from Tivoli Associates?
Check the lists carefully.. we are experiencing problems with this
interface...
TDPO and RMAN have been used at our facility for BOTH hot and cold
backups. on both UNIX and WINDOWS platforms..
I would be happy to discuss how each is accomplished in a private email..
>From the sketchy information contained in this thread, I would guess that
the problem is as described b
