We did an 'import node' and are trying to restore that imported data to
another machine. Using the TDP Exchange Client I can go out, see the
correct Storage Group data and select what I wish for restore. However,
a few tenths of a second after kicking the restore off, we receive an
error message
Afternoon all,
Our TSM Server is AIX 5.2.02 at TSM 5.2.6. This morning we noticed a
strange problem with 2 of our windows clients that do archiving. When
one attempts to retrieve from the archive using the Backup-Archive GUI
nothing displays in the window. In this case "nothing" means you only
blem.
Thanks again,
Scott

see what volume is mounted in a drive
mtlib -l /dev/lmcp0 -f /dev/rmt# -qD

Hi all..
A few months back we upgraded to TSM 5.2.6 (AIX) and since then we've
noticed some client sessions "hang" from time to time. These stalls do
not appear to be related to a particular client or proccess. We've seen
similar behaviour on both on WINDOWS and AIX clients, on archives
sessions

Good day all,
I used an exclude.dir command in an effort to exclude a directory from
my backups. While I was successful in exluding the directory from my
backup, the command also affected archive processing.
The following command was run inside a larger script -
dsmc archive -archmc=$ADSMMC -s
Hi all,
We have an AIX 5.2.9 box exporting an HSM file system to 4 AIX 5.3.3
application servers. We recently migrated the 5.2.9 system to a P55a
(new machine) and discovered afterwards that this particular HSM file
system isn't being picked up on any of the application servers after a
reboot. T
Hi there all,
TSM 5.2.7 on AIX 5.3.3 - question is about deleting a db vol with the
intent to "move" it. As one can see from the output of the q dbv
command we have 2 db vols. The first is on a local disk array and the
second on enterprise storage disk. The goal is to get the DB off the
