Over the holidays I upgraded our TSM server from version 5.5.6 to version
6.2.3. The upgrade went very smoothly -- just time consuming. On the old
server we were running AIX 5.3. On the new server we're running AIX 6.1. The

We are also planning to migrate from AIX to Linux. One thing to note is that
if you are using physical tape drives like we are, you must migrate to a
physical machine. You cannot use a virtual machine such as VMware.
