I am using AFS with the XBSA (TSM) enabled version of butc. I am running TSM
version 3, Release 7, Level 2.0 on AIX 4.3.2.
I have been running the deletdump command to delete the AFS backup database
dump entries and up till now, I have believed that the TSM data is being
deleted by this process.

Actually, I'm embarassed to admit that the retention parameters in the
copygroup for the AFS policy set were retaining deleted data for a year. So,
I would have had to wait a year before the AFS data was reclaimed from the

We are running TSM 3.7.2 on AIX 4.3.2. We have recently upgraded to AFS v3.6
and are preparing to use the TSM capable version of buta.
With the TSM capable buta, we are able to continue backing up data, but the
