I have noticed that when TSM starts backing up, that the processor(s) will max out on
my NetWare servers (both 5.1 SP3 and 4.11 SP9). Are there any setting that can reduce
the processor utilization? Maybe something in the DSM.OPT file? Some of these are even
dual processor and they still get up
I had a similar issue last week. I needed to restore a file but the server
had abended on the TSM Client software (it was a NW server). What I did was
rename the NODENAME on another server, unloaded and loaded the TSM Client

I was using the 4.2.1.0 NW client and the SMDR/TSA that came with SP3 for NW
5.1. After going to 4.2.1.24 client and TSA5up7, a lot of my TSM error
messages and performance problems went away. I am too scared of Beta files,
