Trying to install the Tivoli Storage Agent and I am getting the following messages:
ANRE Unable to open /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US/dsmserv.out for message formatting
ANRE Unable to open message text file for message formatting
Any ideas out there as to why I'm getting this?

We are running TSM 5.2.1 on an AIX 5.2 platform. Until recently we have had no problems
with our incremental backups. Now one of our servers hangs in the /usr directory during
incremental backups. Any experienced this problem before?

Have isolated the directory where the hang occurs. A 'find ... -ls' completes with no
errors. Query Session shows a session starting but then goes into a wait state. AIX
error
log shows no errors.

TSM would select the tape. The drivers know nothing about specific tape volumes.

Studying setting up a managed TSM system between two servers eight (8) miles apart.
1. Any pros or cons.
2. If the configuration TSM system goes down, will the managed system continue to run?
