Hello!
I am curently installing a TSM 5.2 server on a SuSe Linux 8 Enterprise
Server with a
SAN-attached StorageTek L40 library with 2 IBM T200 ULTRIUM tape drives
and have
run into some problems.
The Linux server can see the STKL40 library and both IBM T200 drives

Hello,
I'm having problems with a filesystem containing long directory paths. It
looks like the client returns an
error and ends the backup when coming across these deep directory
structures about 800 characters
long.
The real problem is'nt really the fact that TSM skips over these files

Hi Dan,
Do you have to use the cad?
Try running with "dsmc schedule" instead, and verify with netstat -an |
grep 1501
Also, make sure nothing is blocking 1501by checking dsmerror.log.

Has anyone or is anyone running the TSM client on Tru64 with TruCluster?
I am seeing frequent segfaults and IBM support says that TSM is not
supported
when running TruCluster.

Hi Richard,
The Linux kernel by default only probes LUN 0. You will probably have to
set
max_scsi_luns=1 as a boot argument to your kernel or set the changer to
LUN 0
on it's own SCSI-ID.
See the documentation for LILO or GRUB depending on which bootloader
you're
using.

recompiled the kernel. But both options don't work.
Richard.

Hi Michael,
Look for compat-libstdc++ on the SLES 8 CD:s (if you can't find
them there I guess SuSE support could help you with this), or download
them from HTTP://rpmfind.net. Just type in the name of the failed
dependencies.

Something like this maybe? (sh/ksh/bash)
dsmc q filespace | awk '{print $4}' | egrep '^/' | xargs -I %% dsmc
restore -subdir=yes -inactive %% /oracle
