SQL statement

2013-12-19 Thread Loon, EJ van - SPLXM
Hi guys! I'm trying to make an SQL statement which uses the Nodes table and the Backups table. It should do a count (*) from backups for files older than 30 days but only when the Contact field starts with 'Airpas". Here is what I got so far: select nodes.node_name as "Nodename",count(*) as "A

Re: SQL statement

2013-12-19 Thread apaschal5
Hi, Eric. You need to define how to join the tables. In this case, a "where" condition like... nodes.nodename = backups.nodename Without that, you'll end up with a join table that has every combination of the rows of both tables. Sent from my phone, so please excuse typos. - Reply messa

TSM/VME renames

2013-12-19 Thread Ehresman,David E.
My vmware admin is planning to rename a number of VMs to conform to a new naming standard. Can I avoid new FULLs of the renamed VM by renaming the filespace associated with that VM to match the new name? Or will info in the CTL file force a FULL backup anyway? David

Virtual I/O in TS3500

2013-12-19 Thread George Huebschman
I am encountering problems with TSM due to what I think is a problem with my TS3500 library. When I load 32 or more tapes, TSM chokes when running a process that checks out tapes. It shows all the I/O ports to be full. I CAN load more than 32 tapes. The library dutifully unloads the physical I/O

I forgot to mention: ALMS is enabled. Probably, my effort at toggling virtual I/O on and off was meaningless since it is enabled by default when ALMS is enabled. George Huebschman (George H.) (301) 699-4013 (301) 875-1227 (Cell) - Forwarded by George Huebschman/TPS/GWA/PNC on 12/19/13 03:53 P

1. Serverless backup - I have not heard of such a thing. 2. If you mean snapshot as the ability to backup open files, then it can be done. 3. TSM can and will use VSS provider. Per TB licensing is simple - maximum 2 TSM servers, no mixing of per TB and per PVU, you pay per TB for all of your primar

Server-free backup was supported in TSM version 5.4 and earlier for Windows based TSM servers (see the 5.4 TSM Admin Guide for Windows). The SAN Data Gateway, which enabled SCSI tape drives to be attached to a FC SAN supported the 3rd party data move SCSI-3 command where TSM instructed the SAN Data

Hi George! Long time no E! It's a config issue (or an operator issue, depending on your point of view) You can set the number of "virtual" I/O slots for the library from the library web interface. If you are going to eject or enter more than 32 carts at once, you should increase the number of

Hi Wanda, Expire Inventory is queuing chunk for deletion. See the Q PR output when, at the end of the expire inventory process, the total numbers of nodes have been reached. No more deletion of objects occurs, but SHOW DEDUPDELETEINFO shows that the deletion threads are still working, queuing
