Hi Mickael, If both pools are primary storage pools you can configure tapepool2 to be the next storage pool for tapepool. You do this with the update storage command, for example: "UPDate STGpool tapepool NEXTstgpool=tapepool2" Then either update the original tapepool migration thresholds to zero

Just keep in mind that you "migrate" data from one Primary storage pool to another, not from a primary storage pool to a copy pool in which case you would use the backup stgpool command. Additionally, when you mention moving data from the old tapepool to the disk pool below I am assuming you ar

Note that tapepool2 uses the device class FILE_DEV_TP. You want to query device class FILE_DEV_TP, if it is device type=file you should have no problems. Query devclass tapepool2 f=d -Rick Adamson -Original Message- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU] On Behalf O

Rick has already brought up MIGRATE STG, which probably is the normal way to do this. Remember that MOVE NODEDATA can also move data among primary storage pools (including back to a random access storage pool, good for when you anticipate an important recovery operation). You can even set up c
