Hi,
I have two TSM 5.5.0 server instances with one client each. I have tried to
export the client node using export to server directly option.
It was successfully but I did not find any file spaces nor client node
details in the target server.
What's the procedure to retrieve/restore the e
What exactly was the 'export node' command you issued to export the
definitions and data between servers? And what exactly did the TSM
Server activity log report regarding the completion status and
statistics of that export process?

Hi
Probably a bit late for a reply, but I recently upgraded an AIX based
5.3.x install to 5.5.3.0 and the upgradedb took less than a minute.

Thomas,
You may have run into this APAR,
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC62990
Look in tsm_upgrade. log. It may indicate the upgradedb had completed then
hung. This APAR is fixed in 5.5.5

I wonder how profitable EBAY would be today, if they refused to support
any browsers later than IE7 and Mozilla 3.0.
Just another reason Commvault is gaining market share on TSM. The
underlying TSM architecture is still the best on the market. But what
potential customers see during a POC, i

The only user I/O was a keyboard and a printer.
We used a System 38 with an 8" floppy changer (woohoo - we were rockin'!) to

Hi Wanda:
TSM fully understands the issue with lack of browser support. TSM is
aggressively pursuing a plan to deliver browser support as soon as
possible.

Not that it is the oldest, but I once was an operator for a Burroughs B6800.
It had a 6'x8' panel of lights used for diagnostics - when running, it flashed
a huge "B", but when it core-dumped (daily), the lights spelled "DEAD".

IBM finally advised us to kill the 'dsmserv UPGRADEDB' so
Yes I performed test archival and executed export node.
Can u tell me if we export a node directly to a server will that exported
node be visible in the client node list with file spaces on the target
server for data retrivals?

Kiran.

About 6 weeks ago, our hardware guy upgraded the code on the TS3500 and ATape
to the latest levels and made some hardware upgrades (details on request).
Within days we began to have assorted tape mount problems. Supports initial
response was to upgrade the TSM level to 5.5.4.2 to avoid a know
