I have Tivoli TSM software installed on a server (backup servr windows 2008),
SAN model ds4700 ( with 8 ports and without SAN switch) and tape library ts3200
Does the tape should be connected to the backup server
or
it should be connected to SAN ?
what i need for connectivity?

No the original mailfile will keep its DBIID. In fact you could restore over
the original if you really wanted to, however, that's not a good thing to do as
the domino server will require the users and database cache to be flushed
before replacing.

Some of our TSM clients send their backup data from their isolated storage
network to TSM via LAN. In order to setup LAN-free backup, two switches (IBM
B-type) that are about 200 meters apart should connect the two storage

Before making a full backup of drive D:\ in a Windows XP client, I have
copied all D:\* to a removable USB disk (300GB). Drive D:\ is changing
everyday and sends the incremental backup to TSM. Can I sync D:\ with above
USB disk using TSM restore? Initially, d:\ and USB disk have identical
