Hi,
An IBM tape library like TS3500 is defined into some logical libraries. Can
different TSM servers work with these logical libraries independently? Do I
still need to configure a TSM server as library manager? Will the robotics
and accessor be available for all logical libraries as if they have
Yes, multiple applications/TSM server instances can independantly
share a single 3584/TS3500 library which has been split in to multiple
logical libraries, as long as each is allocated at least one control
path.

Thanks,
What is control path? Do you mean the path to send library manger commands?
FC or IP?

Yes, that's what he means. For 3584s, it's FC (it's IP for 3494s). On AIX, it
shows up as an /dev/smc_ device.
If I understand you correctly, say in a library with two drives I can define
two logical libraries and therefore two TSM servers can connect to each
library with Fibre Channel and the FC link provides each TSM with tape drive
and control path?

off the top of my h
TSM Client 6.1.3.2 for AIX is still not available for download.
Has somebody installed it somehow?
