I've installed the IBM Tape Device Driver v6.2.0.1 onto a Windows 2008 x64

changers and tape drives.
On some devices, when I reboot the server the driver doesn't stay

So, I've got some DB2 database backups on my TSM server. For those of
you who aren't familiar with the way that app backs up, you have a
relatively small number of large files; we have one or two sessions
running, so we have one or two files when we're done. This means my

And, I've seen this happen when your mount limit is set to something
other than "DRIVES". Like when you have your device class set to 2 as a
mount limit, TSM will "reserve" the other 2 to prevent an admin process
from using them.

Andy,
This is not TSM SAN Discovery problem. This is more of a IBM tape driver
issue. Did you have to re-install the IBM tape device driver for some of
the device each time after reboot? Did you have this problem before or
only with device driver 6.2.0.1?

You realy cannot find any reference in the actlog saying TSM needs Tape

What's available?
There used to be a client but I'm not having much luck finding anything
currently.
We're apparently looking at SAP's "Enterprise Search" product, and I'm not
getting any warm & fuzzies about it.
Supported OS: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (OK, been there, can do that)

I believe you need the ADINT client as MAXDB was SAPDB was ADABAS. As I
understand it this is not generally available in the same way as other
clients but rather by special offer. Talk to your friendly IBM rep.

Hi,
I made a full image backup of drive f: in windows. In restore window of B/A
client, drive f: is appeared in both "File Level" and "Image" hierarchy. Is
it possible to restore selected files and directories from this image
backup?
Thanks so much,
