EN_US vs en_US

2008-09-03 Thread Gill, Geoffrey L.
The TSM AIX 5.5 and other versions seem to always have and upper and lower case version of the Tivoli.tsm.msg.xx_xx.devices and server files. Why is this and which isn't the 'correct' version that should be installed en_US? I'm looking at upgrading our 5.3 installation, and since it's been a w

Hello, when configuring the client through a firewall like you are doing, you need to use the "webports xxx yyy" tsm client option to assign specific ports to the dsmcad/agent processes. If you use the webports option and specify the ports you want, those same ports will be used even on restart of

Thanks Kelly, Not sure about anyone else's Outlook client but mine thoroughly hosed up those three commands to look like: "audit library libname checklabel=barcode checkin libvol libname search=yes checklabel=barcode status=scratch checkin libvol libname search=yes checklabel=barcode status=

Moving a Wintel node to a new piece of like hardware

Hello TSMers, What constitutes the TSM server to backup a node which is moved to a new piece of like hardware and keeps the same nodename and ip address? We are migrating a couple servers from a remote location that are currently backing up to a TSM server at this remote location which is at TSM

Depends-- You are keeping the nodename the same, and TSM doesn't care if the IP address or client version changes. For Windows clients, it DOES matter if the hostname (computer name) changes. Do: Q FILESPACE nodename You'll see what TSM is looking for. For windows, the filespace name is the Win
