Hi All,
I'm currently working on a setup where we want to send out TEC alerts of TSM
related events that are not automatically picked up by TSM. We thought to
use ISSUE MESSAGE and have TSM send out an alert to TEC. Now it seems that
with TSM server version 5.5.0.0 TSM doesn't send out a TEC event
Anyone use export/import with 5.5? I was told by tivoli salesman that
5.5 has capability of restarting export jobs at the state of failure.
We are in the process of moving off of 40T of 3590 tapes onto lto3 tapes
and we encounter bad 3590 drives/tapes frequently. We are currently at

Hi Eric,
I use the following query to be warned if there are failed files, on a
given node archive, over the past 24hours, from summary table :
select failed as F_A3 from summary where activity = 'ARCHIVE' and entity =
'MYNODE' and cast((current_timestamp-start_time) days as integer ) < 1
Replace A
and this one is running in TSM OR of course !

As fully documented in the 5.5 manuals and the TSM 5.4,5.5 Technical
Guide redbook.
The redbook has th

I was wondering if someone who might be backing up mapped drives on a
particular server could weigh in on this please. We have a server, and I
have not seen the setup because I have no access at this point, that I
am told has mapped drives from a netapp. They want this drive backed up
with TSM and
The unc should work, and it does show up with the local drives.
You might need to tweak the permissions on the account that the
scheduler is running under. A local account probably won't have access
across the network

Greetings,
We have an IBM3584 library. We needed a script which would
determine how many tapes were in the I/O doors of the library, and then
send an email to the Operators to empty the I/O doors when the library
was mostly full. We fill the I/O door several times a day in the course

I am told that after updating the client version to 5.4.1.2 this node
continues to get this message in the logs for the domino scheduler when
the service is started. It immediately stops afterwards. When the
administrator uses the domino GUI or client GUI he is not prompted for
the password. We ha
A note of caution.
Windows has a way of disconnecting your mapped drives when they haven't been
accessed for a bit. Most programs will force a reconnect, but I've seen on
some systems where the TSM backup expired all the files in an entire
filesystem it couldn't access. You may want to run an au
You need to change the account that the TSM scheduler services is running
under. The default of the local admin account does not understand Windows
networking. You need to configure it with an account that has access to that
UNC share.
