One thing to look at is whether the filling tapes are getting used.
We have had a problem for years with what we call "stuck filling tapes".
These are filling tapes that appear to never, ever get reused. We went
around and
around with support on this issue with no resolution. We finally

An easy one. A user wants to bind some files to another management
class. We do it all the time for Windows and MACs, but this is SOLARIS,
and I'm very rusty and missing his obvious error.
The dsm.sys:
SErvername server_a
COMMMethod TCPip
TCPPort1500
TCPS
Of course, only new files or re-backups of old filenames will get the
rebinding.
Get the user out of the habit of inspecting options files and instead
ask TSM its view of the specs, via 'dsmc q inclexcl -detail'. One
thing you want to assure is that the named management class is defined
*and* act
Nevermind, updating the copygroup is all you have to do!
