Hi *,
We recently decommissioned a Netware server and would like to delete all
inactive backups and keep the last active for 90 days. The server has been
removed from the network, and I read in client version 5.3.4 there is an option
to Delete Inactive files. When I try to setup a virtualnode c
I don't think so:
"The tdposync utility checks for items on the Tivoli Storage Manager server
that are not in the RMAN catalog. This utility allows you to repair such
discrepancies between the Tivoli Storage Manager server and the RMAN catalog."
See: Data Protection for Oracle for UNIX and Linux
Can the tdposync utility be used in an Oracle configuration
where it was installed without an RMAN catalog and by default
uses the database control file.

Hi Zoltan,
I always use "rpm -Uvh TIVsm-server-5.4.1-0.x86_64.rpm". I have had some
bad experiences with the install_server script in the past.
Btw, if you have both 5.1.4.2 and 5.1.4.0 rpm's in the same directory

until now, since the server was installed 4-months ago).
So, I am going to install
Thanks for the confirmation. That was pretty much what I guessed. The
script seems to just check for license files and whether to perform a
"new" install versus an "upgrade".

must be installed before I can take advantage of transaction logging?
Than
DP for Domino does not have to be installed to enable Domino server
transaction logging.
There are three types of transaction logging, circular.linear, and
archival.
When using archival logging, the log extents must be archived
periodically by DP for Domino;
otherwise, the log grows until it fills
